Frequently asked questions

Everything important about professional on-site sofa and mattress cleaning — process, drying, safety and guarantee.

Why is it better to entrust professional cleaning to an experienced team?

The professional cleaning of sofas and mattresses is a very labour-intensive process. Without material knowledge, experience and special equipment, it is impossible to remove all the dirt. Our team specialises in on-site deep cleaning. We have successfully restored the cleanliness of many sofas and mattresses.

Are you active across all of Switzerland?

Yes, we work throughout Switzerland. Call us on +41 79 522 29 19 so we can arrange a suitable appointment.

Why do sofas need to be cleaned?

You should not forget that dirt accumulated in upholstery is harmful to health. Allergy sufferers and children are particularly sensitive to it. If you book a professional cleaning at home at least twice a year, you do not have to worry about a healthy indoor climate.

What problems do customers most often come to us with?

Dust that is invisible to the human eye, and an unpleasant smell. That is the standard package customers come to us with. And we know how to make furniture hygienically clean. We work with all types of upholstery and remove even stubborn soiling. With us, your furniture has the chance to become beautiful again!

Why can’t you clean the sofa yourself?

The remedies against dirt are universal in every household: household chemicals and stain removers. But the upholstery does not get any better from such cleaning. The stain remains on the fabric, and dirt particles, moisture and chemicals settle in the filling material.

For the fabric to be cleaned well, it has to be washed thoroughly. Without special equipment this is simply not possible at home. The same applies to drying. Many forget or do not even know that furniture has to be dried. Precisely a high-quality drying is an important prerequisite for hygienically clean furniture and for avoiding unpleasant smells.

Can you remove unpleasant smells (tobacco, urine, food) and dust mites?

Yes, in most cases a professional deep cleaning with enzyme cleaners and powerful extraction machines can significantly reduce or completely eliminate the smell of tobacco, food and urine. For each case we choose an individual approach: local stain treatment, odour neutralisers, steam disinfection and thorough rinsing of fabric and filling. When cleaning mattresses and upholstered furniture, a large part of the dust mites, allergens and bacteria is also removed, which improves air quality and sleep — however, a completely sterile environment cannot be guaranteed.

Are your products safe for children, allergy sufferers and pets?

Our furniture cleaners were developed specifically for use in living spaces and are suitable for families with children, allergy sufferers and pets. We work with professional, hypoallergenic and biodegradable chemicals without aggressive solvents or a strong smell. After the work is finished, the surface contains no hazardous residues. However, we recommend not letting children and pets lie or play on the cleaned sofa or mattress until it is completely dry.

What needs to be prepared before the technician’s visit?

Remove blankets, toys and other items from the sofa or mattress to ensure free access to the surface. If possible, move small pieces of furniture and fragile objects out of the surroundings and provide access to a power socket and water. If there are special stains or problem areas, inform the specialist about them in advance — this helps to choose the best cleaning method.

How long does the cleaning take and when can the sofa or mattress be used again?

Usually the cleaning of a sofa or mattress takes 1 to 2 hours, depending on size and degree of soiling. After the work is finished, the surface remains slightly damp and needs on average 4 to 8 hours in a normally ventilated room to dry completely. The sofa or mattress can be used as soon as it is dry, but for the most comfortable result it is advisable to let it dry until the next day.

Is there a guarantee on the cleaning result?

We work in a results-oriented way and stand by our work. If after drying you notice spots that you think should be reworked, we come by free of charge within the agreed period and treat those spots again. Important to know: we cannot promise complete removal in every case — old or deeply penetrated stains and fabric that is already damaged can often only be partially improved. We tell you honestly before we start what is realistic in your case. The details are set out in our terms and conditions.

How often should sofas and mattresses be professionally cleaned?

In most cases it is enough to have sofas and mattresses professionally cleaned every 6 to 12 months to ensure hygiene and extend the lifespan of the fabric. If small children, allergy sufferers or pets live in the household and the furniture is used intensively every day, it is advisable to shorten the cleaning interval to every 3 to 6 months.
